She began her career at Baxter Diagnostics, where she served in various R&D roles. In 1994, she became Dade Behring’s senior vice president of R&D. She later held various roles at Beckman Coulter, including vice president scientific affairs, vice president corporate strategic planning and vice president/general manager of Beckman Coulter Genomics.
Dr. Evans’ work has extended across a wide range of laboratory disciplines, with her research focused on the development and integration of technologies to create innovative diagnostic assays and platforms.
Dr. Evans has been an active AACC member since joining the association in 1981. She served as president of the AACC in 2003 and of the Academy of AACC in 2008. She has participated on numerous AACC, IFCC and CLSI Committees and Task Forces.
